Hang an Adjustable Tilt Mirror 02

Kitchen And Bathroom Renovation : Hang an Adjustable Tilt Mirror 02

PREP WORK

• Prepare the wall for installation. Th is may include removing an old mirror, patching, and painting.
• If working above a sink and vanity, cover it with a blanket or towel to prevent possible damage from a falling part or tool.

THE PROJECT

1. After reviewing your mirror’s measurements, determine the desired location and mark the wall with a pencil. It’s best to find the center of the sink (if applicable) and start from there.

2. Using the included mounting dimensions as a reference, mark your vertical and horizontal center for each mounting plate and check with a level.
3. Using a stud finder, determine whether these plates fall on a stud.
4. Mark the mounting-plate holes for one of the mirror posts with a pencil.

5. If one or more of the mounting-plate holes will be in drywall, make the appropriate-size hole for an anchor with a drill and drill bit. If one or more of the mounting-plate holes falls on a stud, no anchor will be necessary. Instead you’ll need to predrill a pilot hole into the stud (one for each mounting-plate hole).
6. Screw in one mounting plate.
7. Repeat steps for installing the second mounting plate, and be sure to recheck your measurements and level.

8. Install the posts to the mirror as instructions dictate; this may involve using various washers. Be sure that the posts are installed in the proper orientation to the mirror.
9. With the posts secured to the mirror, mount the entire mirror assembly to the mounting plates with the provided screws; these may be small set-screws.
