Kitchen And Bathroom Renovation : How To Replace a Loose Soap Dish Part 01
If your kids have ever used the soap dish in the tub as a step ladder—oops!—they’ve probably loosened it from the wall. Even dropping one of those industrial drum-size shampoo bottles from a warehouse club could knock loose or even crack a soap dish. Like a loose tile, it’s imperative to repair it quickly so that water doesn’t get behind it, which would create additional tile damage and cause mold growth.
This project can be applied to various porcelain bath accessories, including towel racks and toothbrush holders.
CONSIDER
The wall behind the tile you’re repairing must be dry before you re-glue the soap dish. You can use a hair dryer to speed up the drying time.
