HOW TO Eliminating Stains and Water Rings
Here’s an all-purpose cleaner that eliminates tons of toilet tarnishes—from rust to lime scale.
PREP WORK
• Shut off the water to the tank from the shut-off valve and flush the toilet; you don’t want water to dilute the cleaning solution.
• Mix equal parts borax and lemon juice to make a paste.
1. With a scouring pad, rub the borax/lemon-juice paste all around the bowl.
2. Let it soak for an hour.
3. Flush the bowl and see if all the stains are gone.
4. If stains remain, use a toilet pumice stone with some more paste to scrub those stubborn stains away.
